Jamie grew up in West Yorkshire, began his career in Johannesburg, did a two-year stint in Dubai, worked a decade in Cape Town, and then ended up back where he started (only a bit further south). He's worked in London for the past ten years.
Jamie creatively led the Microsoft and Xbox accounts in his previous role at McCann London. His consistent creative work with Xbox contributed to winning the One Show Penta Pencil and the D&AD Collaborative Pencil. He won 45 Cannes Lions and multiple effectiveness awards for Xbox.
Jamie has been lucky to work with many talented people and has created work ranging from pain-inducing OOH to pain-relieving audio.
To launch the Tomb Raider video game, he created the Survival Billboard—an OOH pitting eight lucky (or unlucky) people against the UK's harsh winter elements.
He turned Xbox gamers into entrepreneurs with The Fanchise Model, increasing sales by 350%.
He helped Nurofen create a new pain-relieving product (not a pill. A scientifically orchestrated piece of music).
Staying with music, he created Anthem For All: a Microsoft and Invictus Games partnership that empowered injured military personnel to record the game's anthem using Microsoft's inclusive tech.
He created a print ad for Sony Dubai showcasing the ultra-thin Bravia TV and won the region's first Gold Lion.
For Football Decoded, he was asked to advertise FIFA on Xbox. There was a slight catch. He wasn't allowed to show or mention FIFA in any way. The campaign grew the unique FIFA player base by 10%.
Jamie was ranked in the top ten most-awarded creative directors at Cannes for the second time. His work was ranked #1 Print/OOH, The Gunn Report 2016, and second most awarded Print/OOH in the history of The Gunn Report. #28, Print The Gunn Report. His work has contributed to winning the One Show Penta Pencil.
